TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms of service for DesignAI Academy cohorts, workshops, and website. Read before applying or making a payment.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of designaiacademy.in (the "Website"), our cohorts, workshops, content, and services (collectively, the "Services") operated by DESIGNAI ACADEMY ("DesignAI Academy", "we", "us", "our").
By using the Website, signing up for a workshop, applying for a cohort, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must:
Be at least 18 years old (final-year students aged 17 may join with documented parental consent)
Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Indian law
Provide accurate, current, and complete information when signing up or applying
Not be barred from receiving our Services under Indian law
2. Cohort enrollment
2.1 Application
Cohort enrollment is by application. We review every application and select students based on fit. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
2.2 Admission and payment
If your application is accepted, we'll send a Razorpay payment link via email. Your seat is confirmed only after full payment (or the first EMI instalment) is received and reflected in our system. Seats are allocated on a first-pay basis — sending an application does not reserve a seat.
2.3 Pricing
Essentials tier: ₹9,999 + 18% GST (standard) | Early bird ₹8,999 + GST until May 31, 2026
Pro tier: ₹13,999 + 18% GST (standard) | Early bird ₹12,999 + GST until May 31, 2026
Last-week pricing (June 1–5): Essentials ₹11,999 + GST | Pro ₹15,999 + GST
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). GST is charged at the rate prevailing on the date of payment (currently 18% on educational services from a non-recognised institution under HSN 9992).
2.4 EMI option
We offer 3-month no-cost EMI via Razorpay's EMI partners (HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Bajaj Finserv, ZestMoney, LazyPay). The merchant fee is absorbed by us. Eligibility is determined by your bank or lender, not by us.
2.5 Seat caps
Cohort 1 is capped at 150 students total. The Pro tier is capped at 30 seats. Once full, applications are placed on a waitlist for Cohort 2.
3. What's included

18 live sessions (Mon, Wed, Fri; 9:00 to 10:30 PM IST)
12 recorded modules (released weekly)
6 graded assignments
Capstone portfolio project + jury feedback
5 Saturday doubt-clearing sessions

Personalized written portfolio review
1 × 1:1 mock interview (45 minutes, recorded)
LinkedIn and resume teardown (1:1 session)
30-day post-cohort placement support
Priority Discord and alumni network access
Inclusion in our job referral pool when relevant openings come up
4. What's NOT included
No job guarantee. We provide placement support — mock interviews, portfolio reviews, LinkedIn rewrites, referrals when available — but we cannot and do not guarantee a job, internship, freelance project, or any specific employment outcome. Hiring decisions are made by third-party employers.
No software licences. AI tool access (Claude Pro, Midjourney, Figma Pro, etc.) is your responsibility. We design the curriculum around free tiers and trial credits wherever possible.
No 1:1 sessions in the Essentials tier. All Essentials support happens in group sessions and Discord.
No access to closed alumni networks for Essentials students until they've completed the cohort.
5. Code of conduct
All students agree to:
Treat every student, instructor, and guest with respect
Maintain confidentiality of fellow students' work shared in private channels (Discord, group reviews, mentorship calls)
Not share, distribute, sell, or republish cohort content (recordings, slides, assignments, the theory book PDF) outside the cohort
Not record 1:1 mentorship calls without explicit consent
Not use the cohort or our community for unsolicited promotion, recruitment outreach, or sales pitches
Submit original work for assignments and the capstone — AI-assisted is fine, AI-only and copy-paste from existing portfolios is not
Attend live sessions with camera-on where reasonably possible (we understand exceptions)
We reserve the right to remove any student from the cohort, without refund, if these rules are violated. Egregious violations (harassment, plagiarism, content piracy) may also be reported to relevant authorities.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 Our content
All cohort content — slides, recordings, assignments, the theory book PDF, scripts, frameworks, prompts, templates, and the curriculum itself — is the exclusive intellectual property of DESIGNAI ACADEMY. It is licensed to you for personal learning use only. You may not:
Share login credentials with anyone
Download recordings to redistribute
Republish, repackage, or resell our content in any form
Use our content to teach a competing course
Violation may result in immediate removal from the cohort (without refund) and legal action.
6.2 Your work
You retain full ownership of the work you create during the cohort — your assignments, capstone, case studies, and portfolio. By submitting work to the cohort, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:
Showcase your work (with attribution) on our website, social media, and marketing materials
Reference it in future cohorts as an example
Include it in our jury showcase event
You can revoke this licence at any time by writing to mukeshux@gmail.com. We'll remove your work from public display within 30 days.
7. Certificate of completion
A certificate is awarded if you:
Attend at least 80% of live sessions (recordings count for up to 20% of attendance)
Submit at least 5 of 6 graded assignments
Submit the capstone portfolio for jury review
Certificates are digital, signed by the founder, and shareable on LinkedIn. They are not university degrees, government-recognised qualifications, or job guarantees.
8. Refunds, cancellations, and postponements
See our full Refund and Cancellation Policy at designaiacademy.in/refund. Summary:
7-day no-questions-asked refund from the cohort start date (June 8, 2026)
After Day 7 (June 15, 2026), no refunds are issued except where the cohort is cancelled by us
We may postpone the cohort by up to 2 weeks if seats fall below 50 — full refund offered if you cannot attend the new dates
9. Workshops (free)
Free workshops (May 16, May 23, May 30) are exactly that — free. By signing up, you agree to receive workshop reminders by email and WhatsApp. You can unsubscribe at any time. No payment, no refund, no obligation.
10. Disclaimers
We provide our Services "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
We do not warrant any specific career, salary, hiring, or skill outcome.
Our content reflects the founder's professional opinion and industry experience as of the date of recording. The design and AI tool landscape changes rapidly — some specifics may be outdated by the time you watch a recording.
Any third-party tools mentioned in the cohort (Claude, Figma, Midjourney, Razorpay, Zoom, etc.) are not affiliated with us. Their availability, pricing, and terms are outside our control.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, DESIGNAI ACADEMY shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
This limitation does not apply to liability for:
Death or personal injury caused by negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DESIGNAI ACADEMY, its founder, instructors, contractors, and partners from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms. On termination, your obligation to pay any outstanding fees survives, and our intellectual property protections remain in force.
14. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform any obligation due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, war, government action, internet outages, or platform failures (Zoom, Discord, Razorpay). In such events, we will make reasonable efforts to deliver the cohort by alternative means or postpone it. If postponement exceeds 30 days, you may request a pro-rata refund.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnatata, India.
Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by email for at least 30 days. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to mediation under the Mediation Act 2023.

17. Changes to these Terms
